[Dnsmasq-discuss] Dnsmasq 2.75 and linux kernel 4.4.18

Hi,

We are using dnsmasq fro DHCP server functionality (DNS is disabled).

Originally we were using dnsmasq 2.72 on linux kernel 3.9.11 and it was
working fine.

We upgraded the kernel to 4.4.18 and with dnsmasq 2.72, it works fine as
expecetd.

Now we upgraded dnsmasq to 2.75 (to get the memleak fix) on linux kernel
4.4.18, dhcp-server is not working fine. The DHCP requests from client are
sent to CPU and dnsmasq dhcp-server is listening on port 67 but there are
no log messages in dnsmasq and the responses are not sent out. But if we
downgrade dnsmasq to 2.72, it works fine.

Is there any known issues with dnsmasq 2.75 dhcp-server? Please let me know.

Hi Siva,

Just a general suggestion:

Maybe you have not received any reply because your setup is the only
one which causes the issue, and therefore, you're the only one to
actually be able to locate it.

Therefore I suggest that you fetch the dnsmasq git repo and use git
bisect to locate the precise commit where the issue appears.
