The automatic SOA numbers that dnsmasq uses are designed to ensure
that 1) The serial always increments when necessary and 2) never, ever
goes backwards. That should be enough to not have to ever worry about
them, but if you want to worry about them, you can always use
- --auth-soa to set the serial number to whatever you want, and take
responsibility for incrementing it when necessary.

Hello,
I noticed that the SOA serial doesn't adhere to the RFC1912. The
recommended syntax format is
YYYYMMDDnn.
As for now it seems to use some sequential numbering.
