If anyone here is as tired as I am of vendors shipping obsolete
versions of dnsmasq in "new" routers, please consider signing the
upcoming letter to the FCC. Details and links below.

Subject: Important Info for signers of the FCC Letter from Dave Täht and CeroWrt
To: Dave Taht <***@gmail.com>
Thank you for endorsing our comments to the FCC about locking down
Wi-Fi routers and other devices. Your signature is one of over 140
names at this time.
I am working with Dave Täht to complete the submission. We have
prepared a near-final draft of the letter which we will submit on
Friday, 9 October. We welcome you to review the current version at:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1E1D1vWP9uA97Yj5UuBPZXuQEPHARp-AhRqUOeQB2WPk/edit#
Important points:
1) If you still agree with the letter, you do not do need to do
anything. We received all the information we need from the form at
http://goo.gl/forms/WCF7kPcFl9
IF you have not signed yet, please do so soon.
2) THE FCC REQUIRES WE INCLUDE YOUR NAME AND POSTAL ADDRESS. That
information *will* be published on the open web. If you do not wish to
be included, please let me know.
3) IF YOU DO NOT AGREE (or no longer agree) with the letter, please
respond to this note and let me know. In either case, I will ensure
that your name is not included in our response.
4) The window for updating/adding/removing your name will close
tomorrow, Thursday 8 October at 11:59pm ET.
5) If you included a "Personal Comment" on the web form, or have
further thoughts, please consider filing a separate note with the FCC
containing that comment. It will have greater impact. It's easy to do
this at http://apps.fcc.gov/ecfs/hotdocket/list - find the "15-170"
item (first in the list, with more than 340 other filers) If you
didn't keep a copy of your comment, send me a note and I will look it
up.
Thanks again!
